Since 2016, Flower Power was created to unite, honor and remember those whose lives have been impacted by the prison industry in all its forms: prison, ICE, juvenile detention, foster care and other manifestations of punishment. Every year Flower Power holds a space for healing. We aim to bring awareness to the devastating effects of mass incarceration and injustice that continues to affect our communities. Flower Power is a peaceful protest • It is a shedding of light to the way living, loving beings have been impacted by repressive policing and imprisonment.
