Prairie Fire Choir (PFC) is a Twin Cities-based cappella singing group consisting of seventy members who raise their collective voices in support of art, community, and creativity across the state.
Founded in 2010, PFC provides a supportive, fun, and educational environment for members to explore their musical passions. The choir performs unique arrangements of songs by artists such as Leonard Cohen, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Kimbra, Metallica, and Bill Withers, among others. PFC has showcased its talent at a wide variety of events and venues throughout the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota.
The choir is committed to demonstrating fairness, justice, equity, and respect by being open to diverse voices and perspectives, fostering an understanding of different cultures and communities, and making a conscious effort to be welcoming and respectful to everyone. In this inclusive spirit, PFC amplifies causes that matter to them, including social justice, women’s rights, racial justice, environmental justice, and LGBTQ rights. They recognize that there is always room for growth and understand that for their efforts to be effective, they must remain authentic, consistent, and ongoing.
