CHAT exists to nurture, explore & illuminate the Hmong American experience through artistic expressions.
The journey of CHAT began with Pom Siab Hmoob Theatre (PSHT), marking the birth of the first Hmong theatre company globally. Between 1990 and 1997, PSHT crafted and presented five thriving community-based productions and three professionally staged shows. By 1998, PSHT's vision expanded beyond theatre arts to support more Hmong artists, leading to a transformation into the Center for Hmong Arts and Talent (CHAT). CHAT became a pioneer as the sole multidisciplinary Hmong arts organization in the U.S., broadening its scope across various disciplines.

CHAT has organized Hmong Arts & Music festivals and fashion shows, showcasing a diverse community of Hmong American artists and their creations.
